Eva Silot Bravo sobre seu novo livro, Cuban Fusion : A Música Alternativa Cubana Transnacional Scene . Em conversa com a Dra. Marysol Quevedo, Bravo mergulhará no complexo e dinâmico mundo da música cubana.
O livro de Bravo explora o profundo impacto da crise económica de Cuba na década de 1990 no panorama musical global. Ele narra a formação de uma rede transnacional de músicos cubanos e seus empreendimentos colaborativos em diferentes países. Ao examinar a criação de novos espaços artísticos o livro oferece informações valiosas sobre o crescimento do jazz cubano e Fusion fora da ilha nas últimas décadas.
A Dra. Eva Silot Bravo é uma distinta acadêmica e artista afro-cubana com experiência em estudos culturais e relações internacionais. Membro do corpo docente da Oakland School for the Arts, ela fez contribuições significativas na área por meio de suas extensas publicações sobre música, literatura e cultura cubanas.
Dra. Marysol Quevedo, Professora Assistente de Musicologia da Frost School of Music at The University of Miami , é uma das principais autoridades em música latino-americana. A sua investigação centra-se na música cubana antes e depois do 1959 Revolução.
